Erika Wig by Amore
Erika is a short bob cut close to the head, sleek and smooth, with the ends razor cut rather than left blunt so the edge sits sharper and the shape keeps its line. There is a fringe cut in at the front.
It is genuinely short. The nape measures 4 inches, so the hair sits above the collar and off the neck completely. If you have been wearing something longer and warmer, or if this is your first wig and you want as little of it against your skin as possible, that matters more than the number suggests.
The cap is a double monofilament. Two layers of fine mesh run across the top with the hair knotted in by hand, so the parting goes wherever you want it and the mesh reads as scalp rather than as a hard seam. The second layer softens whatever rests against your skin. The sides and back are machine wefted, which keeps the weight down and lets air move through.
Please note: Erika does not have a lace front. The front of the cap is finished with polyurethane tape tabs. They hold well and take tape or a grip, but they are not an exposed lace hairline. The fringe covers the front of the cap, so this is less on show than it would be on a style worn back off the face.
Adjustable tabs at the nape bring the fit in or let it out. At 3.5 oz Erika is light to wear, which is what a cut this short buys you. Rene of Paris does not list Erika among its heat friendly styles, so treat it as a standard synthetic and keep dryers and irons away from it.
